Tim Lane founded ISQ in 1998 following a career in teaching and a managerial and consultancy career in industry. He trained at The Royal Academy of Music and Reading University. His teaching career included Head of Department, Housemaster and Deputy Head at leading independent schools in the UK. He worked for 3i, Intel, Granada Learning and Tribal and has provided management consultancy for many other blue chip organisations in the UK and overseas.

He specialises in change and project management and has worked with over 300 schools worldwide on a wide diversity of managerial and ICT projects. In recent years he has project managed the building of five City Academies as part of the UK Government’s Academies scheme.
